VARIOUS COUNTRIES, two-coin clump of cob 8 reales of Philip III (one Mexico, assayer F, and the other Potosí, assayer not visible). 49.13 grams total. Two solid coins tightly fused with patches of black oxidation tinged with green, clear assayer F visible next to most of shield on top coin (Mexico) and most of cross visible on bottom coin (Potosí), impressive and unusual for this wreck. With original (generic) certificate from the salvors. Recovered from: São José, sunk in 1622 off Mozambique, east of Africa
