USA, bronze military decoration, 1898, U.S Naval Campaign West Indies (Spanish-American War), awarded to Fireman First Class Peter S. Tully of the battleship USS Oregon, with original red-and-blue ribbon, bar and pin. 37.52 grams; 38mm (medal only). Phase I Sampson medal (bust of Rear Admiral William E. Sampson on obverse, naval soldiers on reverse, SANTIAGO DE CUBA / JULY 3 in exergue), the edge engraved with PETER S. TULLY, F.1st.C. Peter S. Tully is confirmed as being on the roster as a Fireman First Class on the USS Oregon during her service off Puerto Rico and Cuba. Nice bronze color and full details, a couple of minor edge knocks and ribbon resewn onto bar.
