William Henry Sutter is confirmed on the crew roster as serving as an Ordinary Seaman aboard the USS Harvard. The auxiliary cruiser USS Harvard is notable as having rescued over 600 Spanish sailors from the burning and scuttled Spanish ships in the aftermath of the Battle of Santiago.
