UNITED STATES, Philadelphia mint, copper-nickel Eisenhower dollar, 1971, missing obverse clad layer, NGC Mint Error MS 63, ex-Busto. 18.9 grams. Interesting rare error with bright red copper core showing on the obverse due to a missing clad layer during the planchet production. Quite lustrous with some carbon spotting on the copper core, a few bagmarks appropriate for the grade. Pedigreed to the José Busto Collection.
