UNITED STATES, Continental Congress, $1/2 "Fugio note", February 17, 1776, serial 41749, plate B, PMG VF 30. FR-CC-21. Signed by Joseph Watkins. Second highest denomination in the four-note Fugio Continental Currency series with the same Benjamin Franklin designed sundial and interlocking rings design as the $2/3 (see prior lot) though the sundial vignette is aligned to the right. Boldly printed note with some circulation but otherwise eye appealing; the holder notes stains which are quite light and added ink which appears to be around the signature and serial.
