The Forgotten Mint of Colonial Panama, by Jorge A. Proctor, 2005 (edited by Alan Luedeking and Daniel Sedwick), copy 43 of 150, inscribed by the author. 11" x 8½". A rare book in high demand, this is the landmark first publication of well-respected archival researcher and writer Jorge Proctor. Prior to this work, Panama cobs were poorly understood and rarely properly cataloged as such. This book presents background history followed by a fully illustrated catalog of all coin examples known at the time, with images of all relevant contemporary documents at the end. A very small print-run of 150 copies sold out quickly in 2005, and used examples rarely appear on the resale market today. VF, hard cover, 329 pp., Library of Congress number TXU001149478, inscribed "To Susan, Welcome to the world of numismatics. From your friend, Jorge A. Proctor, the author / God bless you my friend!." SOLD FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE 1715 FLEET SOCIETY.
