Steel "clockwork" spur (early 1500s), Spanish colonial, with book Vaquero by photographer Bill Wittliff (2002, autographed by the author) showing a picture of a similar item. 345 grams, 9-1/2". Very ornate, 6-pointed spur with very long spines, curlicue pattern, a bit rusty and encrusted but fully intact (very rare thus), desirable as connected with the Spanish conquistadors of northern Mexico.
