Spanish or southern European miquelet officer's pistol, late 1700s. 349 grams, 10-1/2" long, 5-1/2' barrel, 1/2" muzzle. Smaller-sized colonial-era pistol with tapered octagonal-to-round ring-turned barrel containing deep touchmarks (a prancing horse?), fine quality lock, file decorations, medium-hued walnut stock with iron trigger guard and decorated end. Excellent overall condition with tight springs, original bright metal, one chip on wood grip, and missing ramrod. With photo-certificate.
