Spanish-American War in Puerto Rico (1898), collection of medals, buttons and other militaria in a shadow box with descriptions. 1187 grams; 14" x 11-1/4". Assembled by the Puerto Rican collector and author Dulio Vaia in the 1960s, this fascinating exhibit shows both Spanish and US military items like medals and uniform buttons and insignia that were found in Puerto Rico, with the site of each find notated along with its identification (in typewritten Spanish), a bit rustic in appearance but highly educational.
