Spain, silver medal (1980s?) of a Segovia 50 reales (cincuentin) 1609C made from art school dies from Seville, engraved MEDALLA OM-UO 48/100 on the edge. 187.5 grams. A faithful replication of one of the famously immense (and valuable) silver coins of 50 reales struck in the early 1600s, this specimen in lovely Mint State and starting to tone nicely.
