Snow, Edward Rowe. True Tales of Buried Treasure (1951), autographed and with Potosi cob 1R 1736 in front cover above plate that says "This is copy number 102 of 146 books signed by the author and containing pirate treasure found by the author and described in the last chapter." 5-3/4" x 8-1/4"; 272 pages; HC, DJ, F. As the interest in treasure steamed up in the 1950s, this author was leading the charge, with many books to his name in both fiction and non-fiction, the present specimen of the latter type, covering various treasures like Oak Island and the Whydah. The importance of this particular copy is that it bears the original plate and silver coin that Snow used as a promotion for the book inside the front cover, the first such specimen we have offered.
