Small fragment of silver plate rim in chunk of coral, ex-Concepción (1641). 78 grams total. Roughly 3" x 2½" x 1¼". Unusual assemblage of a small piece of the rim of a silver plate embedded in whitish coral and shell fragments. From the Concepción (1641), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic, and accompanied by the July 1996 issue of National Geographic signed by Captain Tracy Bowden on his article "Gleaning Treasure from the Silver Bank."
