Single "lance"-type steel needle. 8.7 grams, 6¼" long. This long and remarkably intact needle with sharp points at both ends has a thick, square "waist" near the middle, giving it the appearance of a jouster's lance, its actual use probably having to do with surgery or sailmaking. Recovered from: Spanish 1715 Fleet, east coast of Florida. With Real Eight Co. certificate.
