Silver "tumbaga" bar #M-39, 2249.9 grams, marked with fineness …C…XXX (unclear), and partial tax stamp, ex-"Tumbaga wreck" (ca. 1528), Garcia-Barneche Plate. 6-5/8" x 3" x 7/8". A neat "half brick" with circular tax stamp showing top of castle and [RE]X C[AROLVS] on flat top and faint fineness on slightly rounded bottom, crude diagonal assayer's "bite" in one corner, light surface corrosion, nicely toned. From the "Tumbaga wreck" (ca. 1528), plated on page 96 of Agustin Garcia-Barneche's The Tumbaga Saga, 2nd edition (2018), with photo-certificate.
