Silver "tumbaga" bar #M-147, 5357 grams, marked with assayer BRAo, serial RC, fineness Ivcc x x x (1230/2400, 51.25% fine) and two partial tax stamps, ex-"Tumbaga wreck" (ca. 1528). 11" x 4-1/2" x 3/4". Neatly rectangular ingot, wide and flat, with slightly rough top showing full and choice assayer (rare) and fineness and serial markings in center, the cratered bottom with small circular tax stamps near the ends, cut/broken assayer's "bite" in one corner, nice aspect overall. From the "Tumbaga wreck" (ca. 1528), with photo-certificate.
