Silver "tumbaga" bar M-136, 6.18 lb av (2803 grams), with markings of fineness IV9cccc (1900/2400), serial RLXXX, and assayer B~Vo, ex-"Tumbaga Wreck" (ca. 1528), García-Barneche Plate. 13¼" x 3-3/8" x ½". Thin but neatly formed ingot with relatively smooth top punctuated by pits from gas bubbles or burnt-off charcoal, clear markings in one cluster near center on bottom, crude squarish assayer's "bite" in one corner, minimal surface corrosion, overall a good-sized bar of manageable weight. From the "Tumbaga Wreck" (ca. 1528), with Sedwick photo-certificate, pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 23 (lot 242), plated on page 113 of Agustín García-Barneche's The "Tumbaga" Saga, 2nd ed (2018).
