Silver "tumbaga" bar #M-114, 3065 grams, marked with fineness IV III L X X (1370/2400, 57.08% fine) with small &'s above and below, plus two partial tax stamps, ex-"Tumbaga wreck" (ca. 1528), Garcia-Barneche Plate. 10" x 3-3/8" x 5/8". Somewhat smooth top with curious radial flow-lines, marked with two partial circular tax-stamps near the ends, the bottom rougher but with bold fineness marking in center, darkly toned here and there, neat assayer's "bite" in one corner. As noted in Armstrong, this bar is a mold-mate with M-113, 115 and 116. From the "Tumbaga wreck" (ca. 1528), plated on page 110 of Agustin Garcia-Barneche's The Tumbaga Saga, 2nd edition (2018), with photo-certificate.
