Silver "splash" ingot, 878 grams, marked with fineness IIU CCC L X (2360/2400, 98.3% fine) and two crowned-C tax stamps, ex-"Golden Fleece Wreck" (ca. 1550). Roughly 6" x 7-3/4". A very thin, broad "puddle" of silver with several "drip blobs" on top, the two full, circular, crowned-C tax-stamps (one fully detailed) for Charles I near edge but fineness closer to center with all but the L X "hammered out" (reason unknown), neatly corner-cut assayer's "bite" in edge, nice silver color all over with only localized corrosion. From the "Golden Fleece Wreck" (ca. 1550), with Sedwick photo-certificate.
