Silver "splash" ingot, 815 grams, marked with fineness IIU CCC L (2350/2400) and two crowned-C tax stamps, ex-"Golden Fleece wreck" (ca. 1550). 6" in diameter and 1/4" thick. Very clear markings for this wreck (whose silver ingots are usually heavily corroded), with bold fineness and two full and well-detailed tax stamps with crowned C inside reeded rims, a couple spots of extra metal (typical) and one interior stress-fracture, plus square-shaped cut in edge (too large for an assayer's "bite," so possibly for making a plata corriente piece), nicely toned on that side (the other side blank and rough). From the "Golden Fleece wreck" (ca. 1550), with Sedwick photo-certificate and hand-drawn certificate from 2008.
