Silver-plated dinner fork marked with maker's mark ELKINGTON, ex-Aurania (1918). 47 grams. 7" long. Plain fork, slightly corroded, especially the tines, with Cunard lines emblem on handle on top with ELKINGTON (the maker) clearly visible on bottom. The ship was irreparably damaged after a torpedo attack in 1918 by a German U-boat as she was in service of the British government. From the Aurania (1918), with certificate.
