Brass cannon-wheel hub (Boer war). . 46 lb; 12" in diameter and 11" tall.This heavy artifact consists of 2 gear-like flanges with side ports for 7 wooden spokes, the hollow central post of one inserting into the other, each with 14 bolt-holes on outside and 7 on the inside, one with faint serial number(?) T74(?)48 stamped near center, all lightly sea-worn and with some green patina over dull brass color, worth a bit for its copper content but also as a genuine shipwreck artifact from the beginning of the Second Boer War of 1899-1902, which solidified British sovereignty over Dutch colonists in South Africa.With certificate from the salvager.
