Shallow iron base or top with white coral encrustation, ex-Concepción (1641). 379 grams. 6½" diameter, 1" deep. Resembling a small, grayish, plain plate, but more likely a base or top to another piece, the bottom covered in interesting coral encrustation, completely intact. From the Concepción (1641), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic, and accompanied by the July 1996 issue of National Geographic signed by Captain Tracy Bowden on his article "Gleaning Treasure from the Silver Bank."
