Seville, Spain, milled 2 reales "pistareen," Philip V, 1722 J, rare provenance. Cal-980; KM-307. 3.55 grams. Very rare provenance as one of very few coins recovered from this pair of inbound ships whose salvage was famously reported in National Geographic magazine in December 1979. High grade (probably Mint State) with spotty surface corrosion yet some sharp details and clear date, small edge-flaw as made near crown. Pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 1, with original lot-tag 163, and to Sedwick Auction 17, with original lot-tag 600. Recovered from: Guadalupe-Tolosa, sunk in 1724 off the Dominican Republic
