Seville, Spain, gold cob 2 escudos, Philip III, assayer not visible, PCGS MS62 / Atocha Shipwreck. Cal-Type 197; KM-20. 6.69 grams. Bold full shield with clear denomination II (vertically) to right and trace of mintmark S to left but assayer below unclear, full cross with atypically full tressure, minor surface die-rust. Gold cobs from the Atocha are very rare, as only a fraction were found compared to the hundreds of thousands of silver coins. With original Fisher tag and photo-certificate 82A-76. Recovered from: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
