Santo Domingo, 2 reales, Charles-Joanna, assayer F to right, mintmark backwards-S to left (no P), very rare. S-SD1; KM-28 ;CT-132. 5.16 grams. Bold full pillars side, full but lightly corroded shield side, variety with mix of Gothic and Latin lettering, cloverlike ornaments, motto as PLV, important as lacking the P of the mintmark, nicely toned all over. With Global Marine Exploration photo-certificate and media packet #PC02265. Recovered from: "Pewter Wreck," sunk in the mid-1500s off Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
