Santiago, Chile, gold bust 1 escudo, Ferdinand VII (bust of Charles IV), 1815 FJ, extremely rare, NGC VF 30, finest and only example in NGC census, ex-Norweb. Cal-1568; KM-76; Fr-32. Nice reverse, with luster and light red toning, and full rims, but with somewhat crude obverse due to flan-bulge (as made), traces of rusty residue on that side, very rare type within which only 816 coins were struck in this year, desirable pedigree. Pedigreed to the Norweb Collection (SpinkAmerica Auction of March 1997, lot 166). Please use this link to verify the certification number
