SPANISH COLONIAL, various mints, complete denomination set of ½-1-2-4-8 reales busts, Charles III, 1774 and 1783, all in NGC slabs housed in custom wooden box with certificate. Rare denomination set from this wreck as the certificate indicates that only 200 of these sets were made, no doubt due to the scarcity of the 4 reales. In this set, the 4 reales is a 1774 JR from Potosí while the rest of the coins are all 1783 FF pieces from Mexico. All coins are similar in appearance with moderate surface corrosion and contrasting dark toning in the fields. Recovered from: El Cazador, sunk in 1784 in the Gulf of Mexico
