SPANISH COLONIAL, mints uncertain, "biscuit" clump of two cobs (one 8 reales and one 4 reales), assayers not visible. 32.16 grams total. Roughly 1½" diameter. Puffy black "biscuit" with large patch of whitish encrustation including a raised mound on one side, the other side showing the outline of the smaller coin stuck flat to the larger one within the "biscuit," interesting as an unusual find from this wreck. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
