SPAIN, Seville, gold cob 2 escudos, 1619 (G), PCGS AU55 (Atocha). Cal-1079; Fr-189; KM-unl (20 for type). 6.73 grams. Choice full shield with bold denomination II to right, mintmark and assayer to left not visible (but known to be S-G), 100% full cross-and-tressure (softly struck) with tail of 9 of date visible at top followed by bottom of HISPAN- in legend (decidedly not 1613 or 1615, as the denomination reads horizontally instead of vertically), somewhat lustrous and with small bits of white coral here and there, important as the only gold cob found on this wreck in 1998 and the second-to-last example found to date, with Fisher tag number actually stated on slab label. With original Fisher tag and photo-certificate 98A-56587. Recovered from: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
