SPAIN, Seville, cob 8 reales, Philip II, assayer Gothic D with open right side at 4 o'clock outside tressure on reverse. Cal-720. 25.94 grams. Nice full cross-and-tressure and shield, also most of crown, contrastingly toned but with some light surface corrosion and peripheral flatness. Pedigreed to the Steve Valentine Collection, with original certificate from the salvor/conservator. Recovered from: Santiago, sunk in 1585 off Bassas da India in the Indian Ocean
