SPAIN, Seville, cob 8 reales, Philip II, assayer Gothic D with open right side at 4 o'clock outside tressure around cross. Cal-720. 26.73 grams. Very bold full shield and cross with bold mintmark S to left and denomination o-VIII to right, unevenly thick edge with crack, lightly toned and practically uncorroded, slightly scarcer version of assayer-mark. With original certificate from the salvor/conservator. Recovered from: Santiago, sunk in 1585 off Bassas da India in the Indian Ocean
