SPAIN, Seville, cob 8 reales, 1622, assayer not visible, very rare, Grade 2, ex-Santa Margarita (1622), mounted cross-side out in 14K gold pendant with fixed bail. 28.70 grams total. Very rare as dated to the same year as its sinking, with bold 22 visible above a nice full cross, the shield rather corroded with a little detail showing through, securely set in a custom pendant setting. From the Santa Margarita (1622), with original Fisher tag and photo-certificate 2465.
