SPAIN, Segovia, 4 reales, Ferdinand-Isabel, assayer A above quatrefoil to left, mintmark aqueduct on reverse, very broad flan, extremely rare, NGC VF 25, finest and only example in NGC census. López de la Fuente-H4.1.3; Pellicer i Bru-9; Cal-552. 13.45 grams. Very broad flan (36mm, the size of some 8 reales!) extending past the outer borders, with 100% full crown and Latin legends in addition to all interior details despite some areas of weak strike, still with clear assayer (R5 in Pellicer i Bru, the rarest assayer of this mint, which is in itself rare in this denomination), richly old-toned all over.
