SPAIN, Granada, gold cob 2 escudos, Philip III, 1606, assayer M to right below mintmark G, OMNIVM variety, very rare, NGC MS 62, finest and only example in NGC census. Cal-1034; Fr-189a. 6.70 grams. Choice gold color with full shield and cross, bold full denomination to left and clear but weak G-M to right, much full legend including bold OMNIVM and full final digit 6 of date (possibly an overdate, but underdigit does not appear be a 3 as listed in Calicó), full base of crown, minor edge-split, date not noted on NGC label (but finest in census anyway).
