Roman Empire, bronze sestertius, Severus Alexander, 222-235 AD. RIC 635; BMC 843. 26.2 grams. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander, right, with legend IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, on obverse. Mars advancing right, holding spear and shield with legend MARS VLTOR S-C, on reverse. Fine with nice details, chocolate brown color all over, the planchet slightly out-of-round.
