Potosi, Bolivia, pillar 8 reales, Charles III, 1767JR, 4-petal rosette below shield, rare first date of issue. KM-50; CT-966. 26.82 grams. Bold VF+ with light rainbow toning, well struck and attractive despite minute surface pitting, very important and highly sought first-date specimen from this mint (struck when cobs were still being made). Accompanied by a photo-certificate and metallurgical analysis by Aureo & Calico (Barcelona, Spain).
