Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales Royal, 1656E, PH at top, rare. S-P37a; KM-R21; CT-415. 24.54 grams. Broad, roundish flan that at first looks like just a nicer-than-usual business strike but happens to match the Royal dies in Lazaro (obverse #148 and reverse #147), VF details with contrasting toning (otherwise silvery), minor doubling in legends, three dates and mintmarks, very impressive for a salvaged coin. With Sedwick certificate from 2003.Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island
