Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer E (1651-2), with two countermarks (very rare): crowned-dot-F-dot countermark (two dots) on shield and crowned-L on cross. S-P36; KM-19b; Cal-Type 327. 22.67 grams. Broad flan with patchy toning and corrosion near edge, both countermarks fairly bold (full crown above weak dot-F-dot on obverse), king's ordinal IIII, clear P-E to left and 8 to right, small edge-splits. From: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
