Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1679V, assayer at upper left (rare). S-P39; KM-unl. (cf. 26); CT-unl. 19.68 grams. Most of cross and pillars-and-waves despite heavy corrosion, clear CAR- of king's name, but most significant feature is the clear V at upper left (a known error). With photo-certificate #MO15005 from the salvager. Recovered from: Consolacion, sunk in 1681 off Santa Clara Island, Ecuador
