Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1668E. 24.97 grams. Very odd-shaped flan with good full waves and full POTOSI in legend, good full cross, no corrosion at all, lightly toned fields, small edge-split. Pedigreed to the Thomas Gray collection and formerly displayed at the ANA Money Museum's "Treasures of the Deep" exhibit (2014-15), also pedigreed to our Auction #10, with original lot-tag #395. Recovered from: Unidentified ca.-1671 wreck in Seville harbor
