Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1653 E, PH at top, four-digit date below and dot-pomegranate-dot above cross, ex-Mastalir. S-P37a; KM-21; Cal-1503. 26.98 grams. Solid but with some surface corrosion (low contrast), full pillars-and-waves and cross, all three dates (including full 1653 below cross) and mintmarks and assayers, king's ordinal IIII in legend. Pedigreed to the Roberto Mastalir collection (with his handwritten tag), with original certificate signed by Herman Moro. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
