Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1652E post-transitional (transitional Type VIII/B), ex-Mastalir collection. S-P37a; KM-21; CT-434. 23.43 grams. Solid flan with light surface corrosion, brown toning, full but doubled pillars and cross, parts of all three dates. Pedigreed to the Roberto Mastalir collection, die #VIII.1-B.aa.x(7)12 (not in his book), and pedigreed to our Auction #17, with original lot-tag #407. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
