Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1650O, with pentagonal crowned-1652 countermark on cross, very rare. S-P35; KM-19b; CT-509. 25.9 grams. Huge flan with full shield and cross, the latter with bold half of the distinctive countermark (Janson-Type U, 5-10 known), clear assayer, full date and much legend, no corrosion but some flat areas and slightly doubled all over, with several small edge-splits. From the Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
