Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1650O, with crowned-dot-F-dot countermark on shield, ex-Ponterio. S-P35; KM-19b ;CT-509. 24.46 grams. Huge flan with practically everything visible, including date as 165050 due to doubling, choice full shield and countermark, P-O to left and 8-O to right, light surface corrosion on cross side only, lovely toning. Pedigreed to the Capitana auction (Ponterio April 1999), with original lot-tag #183. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
