Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1649O, with crowned-S countermark on cross (rare). S-P35; KM-19b; CT-506. 26.91 grams. Choice and uncorroded, with bold full P-O to left of full shield, full cross-and-tressure with full countermark but only the bottoms of the digits of the date visible, nicely toned. With certificate from the salvagers. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
