Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 1649O, with crowned-L countermark on cross, ex-Ponterio. S-P35; KM-19b ;CT-506. 26.40 grams. Incredibly choice full date set off with colorful rainbow toning, also full countermark, full cross-lions-castles and shield, full P-O to left and 8 to right, very minor surface corrosion only. Pedigreed to the Capitana auction (Ponterio April 1999), with original lot-tag #110. Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
