Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 164(9)O, with crowned backwards-L countermark (very rare) on cross. S-P35; KM-19b; CT-506. 21.81 grams. Clear countermark on nearly full cross with most of date, half of shield due to corrosion on edge, interesting full crown above, toned on fields. From the Maravillas Research Collection of Countermarked Potosi Cobs, with Marex certificate and tag #1536. Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island
