Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, (16)52E transitional Type VIII/A, rare, ex-Haskins, ex-Mastalir collection. S-P37; KM-A20.8; CT-433. 15.38 grams. Thin from heavy corrosion but with clear pillars (fat) and waves and shield, toned all over. Pedigreed to the Roberto Mastalir collection, #VIII.a-A(2)2 in his book (page 168), with Sedwick photo-certificate, and pedigreed to the Jack Haskins collection (our Auction #10, with original lot-tag #389). Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island
