Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 16(50)O, with crowned-dot-alone countermark on cross (very rare), NGC genuine / La Capitana Shipwreck. Nice full cross with most of countermark and clear 16 of date, the obverse weaker (lightly corroded) but with full crown and shield and two assayers. The countermark here, consisting of a typical crown above a simple dot (very clear), is quite rare, unlisted in Ullian and may be the only one we have ever offered. NGC #3501165-035. Pedigreed to our Auction #22, with original lot-tag #293.Recovered from: Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
