Potosi, Bolivia, cob 8 reales, 16(5)1E, with crown-alone (common variety) countermark on shield. S-P36; KM-19b; CT-511. 27.62 grams. Solid flan with no corrosion, bold countermark and final digit of date, full shield and cross with weak spots, edge-split, uneven toning. From the Maravillas Research Collection of Countermarked Potosi Cobs, with Marex certificate and tag #0331. Recovered from: Maravillas, sunk in 1656 off Grand Bahama Island
